Just one post with four challenges from me today.
Up first is the new challenge over at TOMIC where they want you to use 'Masking' in your project.....want to know more..?...then pop on over and have a look...the DT always always come up with fantastic creations.......
Obviously we have Tilda and i have placed her in front of the fence. To colour i have used a mix of Promarkers, water colour pencils and chalks. The BG papers are some freebies from a Craft Magazine and they are by Kate Knight and are called 'Totally Tropical'. Quite vibrant are they not..? lol. Tilda is mounted onto a MS punched edged square and then bordered by some gorgeous flowers(Wild Orchid Crafts) and some cream raffia(WOC) which i have slightly distressed with Spun Sugar Distress Ink by Tim Holtz. Behind this is some white lace(WOC) and another MS punched border covered with some aqua lace but sadly you cant see it that well.
'Always Thinking of You'
Next is a gorgeous challenge from Cupcake Craft where the theme for this week is 'Sew Mad' which was set by the lovely Jane. I am sorry with the children on school holidays i am reluctant to take my sewing machine out today as they are at home so i have gone for FAUX sewing, i do apologise. The BG papers are from my stash. The MS punched edge to the square where a gorgeous Lili of the Valley stamped & coloured image with both Promarkers and water colour pencils has been added. Yellow Polka dot ribbon and flowers added are from my stash and the gorgeous flowers in the corner are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
'We are all Special - Some of us just don't know it yet'
Over at Hooked on Craft the theme for their challenge is 'Sweet Treats'.....yum yum......the DTs designs are fabulous.......thanks guys.........here is mine...
'So Sweet'
A little boys birthday card with a gorgeous image of a bear holding a cupcake with one candle on the top. BG papers are from my stash. the sentiments was put together from some chipboard diecuts....looks quite good....some twine added again from WOC and a few candi and blue shaped buttons from my stash.
Hope this fits the challenge xxx
And finally for today my favourite thing distressing.........over at Simon Says Stamp and Show they want to see a Tim Holtz technique and to be honest at the moment i only know how to distress lol so that is what i have done to this creation. Hope this meets the challenge, the DT have made some gorgeous creations.
There are a few piccies so bear with me again.....
Here i have used a Mega Tag from K&Co and have distressed it with Tim Holtz Antique Linen and Vintage Photo distress inks. I then stamped with Vintage Photo distress ink various travel themes over the tag which are hidden a little by the other embellishments.
I have again distressed three buff tags with various images on them ....mainly in the theme of travel. Also i have again distressed these Doo Hickey flowers with Vintage Photo and Antique Linen and a little Spun Sugar.....
There are two doilies also distressed with these inks which are just about visible at the top and the bottom of the tag where i have added some gold pearls. The sentiment tag is a Tim Holtz tag which i again have stamped and distressed with ink. Finally i have added cream seam binding and some lace which is again distressed with inks.
